The original Abbey was founded on its current site around 1853 and the Grade II* Pugin Abbey church was completed in 1854.

The exciting development for Oulton Abbey is the building and opening of our new care home. Hospitality is central to the Benedictine tradition and the duties of welcoming supports that mission by providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all residents, staff and visitors’ guests in line with the Abbey’s vision and values on customer satisfaction.

Although we have a Catholic background all faiths are accommodated.
