Facilities at Oulton Abbey Care Home

Entertainment and Activities

We have a team of Activities staff who provide a range of activities for our residents to enjoy. Family and friends are particularly welcome to join in and share the experience with their loved ones.

All our residents have different capabilities and needs. We never underestimate what our residents want to do or achieve. Choice, respect and dignity are at the heart of Oulton Abbey and our Activities team play a central role in arranging activities, events and trips that reflect this ethos.

Chairobics

Chair based fun exercise, very suitable for the elderly, especially those less mobile. It is performed to music in our luxurious lounge.

Trips Out

We organise regular trips out to Garden Centres, for Pub lunches, shopping trips, canal trips, visits to Stately Homes, and many more.

In house Entertainment

We have various entertainers such as singers, pantomimes, musicians, Mobile Farm, Children’s Choir, cheese and wine evenings, Fish & Chip Shop Supper etc.

Hairdressing and Manicures

We have a beautician/hairdresser who provides these facilities twice a week.

Food & Beverage

We provide high quality food and beverages to encourage a healthy well-balanced diet. We pride ourselves on the quality of food we serve and offer a wide range of menu choices to accommodate all dietary needs.

Meals can be taken in private bedrooms if required, however we do encourage residents to join each other in the dining areas where possible.
